We were even more surprised to find that the structures by waterfall housed a bar/restaurant, where a dude was selling moonshine tequila, as seen here. This stuff is apparently a local custom, and is called "raicilla" and like moonshine in the US, it is technically illegal. Since Yelapa is so difficult to access, and local custom is so strong, I assume that Mexico's booze regulation board turns a blind eye.
